Bharath (Rajeev Kanakala) is an orphan who has only one friend in life, Sreenu (Uttej), a colleague in the orphanage and in his job too. Having realized the fact that the society provided him with everything and brought him up to be a successful software engineer though he was an orphan, he tends to be socially responsible so much that he can risk his life to save lives of several policemen in a landmine blast planned by naxalites. For this bold move, the Indian government even announces a Citizen Award from the President of India (K. Viswanath)! Bharath once meets Sameera (Sindhu Tholani), who seems to be caring about the society too. Naturally, they fall in love and get married with the blessings of Sameera's parents (C.V.L. Narasimha Rao & Ayesha Jaleel). Two mysterious attacks on Bharath's life create tension in their lives, though he survives through them both.

Goutham, the youngest son of a district collector Sambhu Prasad, has elder brothers Manoj and Neeraj, a mother and a sister. But he is more attached to the couple Bhanu (Bhanupriya) and Kondal Rao (Prithvi), staying in a house opposite theirs. This couple is childless and treats Goutham as their own boy. Bhanu becomes a positive force in moulding the character of Goutham. Goutham is mischievous and some acts of the boy display his lack of interest on studies disturbing the psyche of his father. He wanted his son to become IAS, as his other two sons are in other professions. The lack of discipline of Gowtham becomes a problem when the boy recklessly forgeries the signature of his father on a blank paper at the instance of his father's PA (Chinna), who says that a letter with his father's signature is needed to help a poor family in dire need.

But the mischief played by the PA leads to the arrest of his father, after his house is searched by ACB. Sambhuprasad throws Goutham out of his house. And the other two sons with their wives also leave the house as they are looked down upon as sons of corrupt collector and their business is effected. Thus a situation is set for Goutham, to prove that he is so competent than all the members of the family by first removing that blot on the family, to render his brothers and sisters-in-law realize how good he is and then he himself becoming an IAS topper of that year, under the guidance of a professor, played by Viswanath.

Simbu, an accountant by profession, gets to work in a music college. He meets Jyothika here. The latter however runs away from him as he is the one who rapes her in a dream (nightmare?).Now, we are shown a Simbu who chases girls with the intensity and interest of a Lothario. He seduces girls and finally burns them. Thus several nubile young girls vanish from the city.Policeman Atul Kulkarni, who is in charge of the investigation, manages to nail Simbu.It is when the truth comes tumbling out: Actually, there are two Simbus out there. One is soft and honest, working in music college. The other is the Don Juan, killing women like a Jack the Ripper. But Jyothika who mistakes the first for the second hands the former to the police.In the flashback, we are told that the two Simbus are twins and the killer is taking it out on young girls because he himself is a victim of young girl's (Sindhu Tolani) duplicity. After being loved and thrown away by Sindhu, the other Simbu develops a hatred for women. So he goes on a seduction and killing spree.The rest of the story is about how law catches up with him. But there is also some unexpected twist in the tale and that adds to the story value.
